The Chastain Park is more of an “area” or community than an actually subdivision.  Chastain Park the community is fondly named after the actual 268 acre park that is situated right in the middle of the “Chastain Area”.  The park was developed in the early 1940’s.  Chastain Park was originally farmland, however it has since turned into a major recreation facility.  Many of the current facilities include the Chastain Park Amphitheater, swimming pool, baseball/football fields, stables, picnic areas and lakes.
